Supporting local clubs this Perth Royal Show

The Town of Claremont has awarded four local community groups, through an Expression of Interest process, the right to operate a temporary parking station at Lake Claremont during the 2026 Perth Royal Show.

Claremont groups the Lions Club Claremont, Freshwater Bay Primary School P&C Association, Friends of Lake Claremont and the Claremont Lawn Tennis Club will be operating the parking at Lake Claremont which costs $20 per vehicle. 

Each community group will operate the parking station for two days during the duration of the show, and all funds received will go directly back to the groups, supporting their financial sustainability. 

Mayor Peter Telford said the initiative was about ensuring the Royal Show delivers a direct benefit to the Claremont community. 

"The Royal Show brings over three hundred thousand visitors to Claremont, and this is a practical way of making sure some of that activity directly benefits our community," he said. 

"Every dollar raised from the Lake Claremont parking will go back to local clubs and community groups, supporting the people and organisations that make Claremont such a strong community." 

Temporary parking will also be available at Rowe Park for $20 per vehicle. This will be operated by the Town of Claremont Community Safety Officers.
