Led by enthusiastic volunteer tour guides, the Claremont Meanders trail series offers a range of interesting and informative heritage walks. Learn about the history of Claremont, its buildings, environment, people and events.
A new walk has been added to the series to recognise Claremont's contributions during war times and to share more information about the Town’s Poppy Project. Come along to find out about the streets in Claremont that have been named to commemorate conflicts and courage. Visit the memorials, learn the importance of key locations such as the Showgrounds, Railway Stations and Drill Hall and hear stories of exceptional courage and resilience.
Homefront & Heroes is a free guided walking tour. It will be offered for the first time on Thursday 14 May starting at 9:30am from the Claremont Museum and finishing at 11:00am at FORM Gallery & Cafe. Bookings through the Town’s website or by email or phone to the Town of Claremont administration.
