Shenton Road Safety Upgrades

Shenton Road Safety Upgrades

The Town of Claremont will be undertaking improvement works on Shenton Road in April 2027. These works include road resurfacing, kerb reconstruction and drainage upgrades.

As part of these works, the Town is proposing a range of road safety improvements, including the installation of road humps and raised plateaus along Shenton Road.

Proposed safety upgrades include:

1. Shenton Road / Wright Avenue roundabout upgrade

Installation of road humps at the roundabout intersection to assist in reducing vehicle speeds through the intersection.

2. Shenton Road / Stirling Road roundabout upgrade

Installation of road humps at the roundabout intersection to improve traffic safety and speed compliance.

3. Raised intersection plateaus

Construction of raised plateaus at the intersection of Shenton Road with Saladin Street and Devon Road to improve pedestrian safety and further reduce vehicle speeds.
