Get into the Christmas spirit when the Town's annual Carols in the Park returns to Claremont on Saturday 13 December.

Join the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) and vocalists soprano Prudence Sanders and tenor Perry Joyce as they perform classic Christmas carols including 'Deck the Halls', 'Away in a Manger' and 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas'.

Suited for both adults and children, enjoy family-friendly entertainment such as face painting, a silent disco and a Lego display, plus a visit from Santa and his elves.

Pre-WASO programming begins at 4:30pm with WASO to take the stage from 6:30pm at Claremont Park.

Don't forget to grab something to eat and drink at one of the many food trucks available or bring your own picnic to enjoy.

Mayor Peter Telford said the carols mark the start of the festive period.

"Sitting outside and listening to Christmas carols performed by Western Australia's elite orchestra with family and friends is a great way to bring in the festive season," he said.

"I encourage as many of you as possible to join us to enjoy some well-known Christmas tunes and watching WASO perform at this much-loved annual event."
