Standard Terms & Conditions

By entering any Town of Claremont promotion, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Entrants must be 18 years or older.  

2. Town of Claremont Elected Members and Employees and their immediate family are not permitted to enter the competition and are ineligible for the prize/s.

3. The prize must be collected from the Town of Claremont Administration Office at 308 Stirling Highway, Claremont within 7 days and the prize winner must provide photo identification.

4. In the event the winner cannot be contacted or does not accept the prize within 14 days, an unclaimed prize draw will take place. 

5. The Town may cancel the promotion and not award the prize in circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

6. You agree to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media requests, including being interviewed and photographed.  The Winner agrees to the Town using the footage and photographs at their discretion.

7. The winner consents to the release of their name and picture on the Town’s website and social media channels.

8. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.

9. Entrants agree that their email address will be added to the Town of Claremont’s database and signed up to marketing materials including e-newsletters from Town of Claremont.

2026 Youth Photography Competition 

By submitting an entry for the 2026 Youth Photography Competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

1. Entrants must be between 12 - 18 years and reside in and/or go to school in the following local government boundaries:

  • Town of Claremont
  • Town of Cambridge
  • Town of Cottesloe
  • Town of Mosman Park 
  • City of Nedlands 
  • Shire of Peppermint Grove 
  • City of Subiaco 

2. Entrants may only submit one (1) photograph, which may be submitted via the online form on the Town of Claremont website. 

3. Entries must be the original work of the entrant and taken within the last 6 months. 

4. Submissions must be a minimum of 300dpi. 

5. Only entries received by 5pm Friday 10 April 2026 will be accepted. 

6. No images of people can be accepted without proof of written permission from that person. Permission must be available upon request by the Town. 

7. The Town will not be held liable for any damage, loss (both direct and indirect) and/or injury sustained by an entrant during photographing or participation in this competition, whilst exhibited or otherwise. You participate in the competition at your own risk. 

8. The winning cash prizes are not negotiable, transferable or exchangeable. 

9. All entrants consent to the Town retaining the photographic image for use in future publications (website/social media/print collateral etc). 

10. All entrants (24) who are shortlisted must consent to being in a photograph for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes including print and electronic media for the Town. 

11. The judging panel's decision is final. No disputes will be entered into. 

12. The Town reserves the right at its sole discretion to remove and/or disqualify any entries that beach these terms and conditions and/or are deemed to be inappropriate and/or offensive including racial photos or political messages. 

Shop Local Campaign - Additional Terms & Conditions 

By entering the 'Shop Local Campaign' ("the Competition"), you agree to the following additional terms and conditions: 

1. There will be three (3) prize winners who will be drawn from all eligible entrants. The prize draw will consist of: 

  1. 1st Prize 1x winner of $2500
  2. 2nd Prize 1x winner of $1250
  3. 3rd Prize 1x winner of $650 

2. Entrants must collect a minimum of 3 stamps on their shopping card to receive one (1) entry into the prize draw. Every extra stamp collected thereafter will result in one additional entry. 

3. Stamps can only be receive from the following participating retailers located in the Claremont Town Centre* (CTC): 

  • Green Duck Society 
  • Miss Henry Boutique 
  • Toyworld 
  • The Claremont 
  • Academy Brand 
  • Hannah Etherington Flowers 
  • Uber and Klein 
  • Majestic Persian Carpets 
  • Status Anxiety

4. Stamps can only be received from the participating retailers when the Competition participants make a purchase at the participating businesses store in person of a minimum of $50.00*, between Friday May 1 08:00 AWST and Sunday May 31 23:59 AWST. 

  1. *The minimum spend for a stamp to be received by Machi Machi will be $15.00

5. Participating retailers will only give one (1) stamp per transaction over $50, not per $50.00 spent. For example, if a participant spends $200 in one transaction this means one (1) stamp will be given, not four (4).

6. Multiple entries are permitted. 

7. Entries must be received by the Town of Claremont (ToC) via the entry form on the Town of Claremont website here, or can be submitted via the entry box located at the Town of Claremont during opening hours, between Friday May 1 08:00 AWST and Sunday May 31 23:59 AWST. 

8. Cards submitted via the entry form on the website must not be submitted in person. If duplicate entries are found the entry will be disqualified. 

9. The first one hundred (100) people to submit their cards in person at the Town of Claremont offices will receive one (1) CTC branded coffee cup, upon submitting their card. 

10. Cards submitted in person are only eligible if the entrants' details are printed and legible on the card. 

11. The three (3) winners will be selected at random by a Town of Claremont Elected Member. The winners will be contacted via phone and email. 

12. In the event the winners cannot be contact or do not accept their prize by Monday June 8 2026, an unclaimed prize draw will take place on Tuesday June 9. 

13. All of the three (3) cash prizes must be spent in the CTC. Winners are required to select up to five (5) CTC businesses* to spend their prize money at. Money will then be exchanged into vouchers at these businesses, to the value specified by the winner, totalling the prize value. The vouchers will be purchased by a Town of Claremont representative on behalf of the winners. 

*The Claremont Town Centre / CTC businesses refers to business located within the area bordered by north of Stirling Highway, east of Stirling Road, south of Gugeri Street and west of Leura Avenue, including shops within Claremont Quarter, Bay View Terrace and Gugeri Street.
