Acknowledge Djilba season (spring) and the stunning Lake Claremont with the return of Celebrate Lake Claremont on Sunday, 14 September.

This favourite and free event focuses on sustainable fun and with a range of activities, hands-on workshops, rides, games and entertainment, there's something for everyone.

Eventgoers can learn about compost, create soil and grow food with Urban Revolution Australia, make their own 'bee hotels' and have a free electric trishaw bike ride around the Lake.

Performances from the Scotch Pipe Band, DJ Incredable and Alexander's Awesome Party will create a vibrant and fun atmosphere.

Mayor Jock Barker said events like there are a staple in the Claremont community.

"With the weather getting warmer, now is the ideal time to go out and celebrate this much-loved asset in the Claremont community," Mayor Barker said.

"Events like this highlight the importance of our natural assets and how crucial it is to keep them in top condition as a place for flora and fauna to thrive."

Attendees are encouraged to bring a refillable drink bottle and reusable coffee cup. Additionally, all vendors will be serving food and drinks in reusable items from Go2Cup.

As this is an environmentally friendly event, consider walking, riding or catching a train to the event. Claremont train station is only a 10-minute walk away.

Celebrate Lake Claremont is on Sunday 14 September from 10am - 1pm at Lake Claremont.

This is a free event which the entire family can enjoy.
