Join the Town's Traditional Owners for a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country.

As part of NAIDOC Week, this special event will celebrate the 2023 NAIDOC theme of 'For Our Elders'.

Come along and enjoy this ancient Aboriginal custom which involves the burning of native plants to produce smoke to cleanse people and the land.

This event will take place at Galbamaanup (Lake Claremont) at the Friends of Lake Claremont Shed, Lakeway Street entrance.

We suggest walking or cycling to our event. Limited parking is available on Lapsley Road with the Friends of Lake Claremont shed located approximately 500 metres away.
