Japanese Manga and Kawaii Food Art Workshop

Wednesday 4 July 2018
$5 (payable on the day), ages 13+
Join Perth based native Japanese artist Nami Osaki for her Japanese Manga and Kawaii Food Art workshop! Manga is a Japanese style of cartoon drawing and Kawaii translates into English as cute. This event will introduce participants to Manga, followed by a Kawaii themed Food Art session. All participants will be going home with their artwork to impress their family and friends.

Japanese Storytime

Free – Ages 2-6 years
Ohayo Gozaimasu! Join us for a special storytime celebrating Japan. We’ll read some fun stories, learn to count to ten in Japanese, create a special craft to take home, and try some delicious Japanese foods. See you then; Matane!

Street-style and subculture Makeup Workshop

$5 (payable on the day), ages 12+
From cosplay to decora, makeup is a fun way to express yourself! Learn to apply makeup in this hands-on workshop. Post-session selfies are not required, but highly recommended!

Clothing Upcycle Workshop

Free, ages 14+
Upcycle your clothes with stylist Cheryl Morran. Refashioning your clothes is a great way to revamp your wardrobe without wasting money at the shops. Learn how you can upcycle clothes and accessories you already have. Maybe add some lace or ribbon. Bring some clothes to swap and maybe your own sewing machine if you are really keen.

Fun with Worms

Recycle Reuse

What can you do with an empty 3 litre plastic milk bottle and old newspapers?  Join Wilma Van Boxtel to find out how using your imagination and experimenting you can create a mask to take home. Maybe add horns or use plastic shopping bags to create a hairdo for your mask.

*All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied to all workshops by an adult.
