This year marks 100 years since the 10th Light Horse Regiment rode through Palestine to liberate Damascus. The Brigade has very strong links to Claremont having trained at the Claremont Showgrounds.

The Great Ride saw members of the Light Horse Brigade participate in what would be the last calvary charge in any war. It was a victory for Australians and shows the determination of these calvalrymen against great odds.

Join performer and musician Carmel Charlton as she presents a  talk about The Great Ride with photographs, music and stories about the regiment's soldiers. This HIACC event will engage guests with an important part of Claremont's history.
