Rain, hail or shine, on Sunday 20 May the community are invited to Get Into Health and enjoy the Lake Claremont vista for the annual Get Into Health event. The event is open to everyone, including seasoned runners, walkers, beginners and those wanting to have some fun.
There are three courses, so you can choose your path to ‘get into health’. They are:
- 10km run (starts 8.30am) – If you’re aspiring towards a half marathon or just for the love of the run, this is for you. This course consists of four laps around Lake Claremont.
- 5km run (starts 9.00am) – A good course for runners just starting out, this course will be two laps around Lake Claremont.
- The fun walk (starts 9.30am) – Come enjoy the serenity with one lap of Lake Claremont - great for families, and the people who are just wanting to come have a fun time!
There'll be a range of prizes up for grabs throughout the morning as well! (Distances are not exact, but the race will be timed).
Re-charge after the race, with some tasty healthy food options and takeaway coffee. There'll be kids games, warm-up and cool down stretches, a DJ, plus plenty of health, wellbeing and active-themed stalls to browse after your walk or run.
All courses are free to enter, but registration is necessary.
To enter, click here
and make sure you collect your race bib from the Town of Claremont offices the week prior to the race (14-18 May 2018). Entrants must arrive 30 minutes before course start time.
No dogs are permitted on the race course and must be on a lead no longer than 3 metres if they are joining you in the park after the race.
