The Town of Claremont Administration Building is located at 308 Stirling Highway, Claremont (corner of Stirling Highway and Bay View Terrace)

Visitors to the Administration Building can park in the Council carpark located off Bay View Terrace.

HERITAGE VALUES OF THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

The foundation stone for Council’s Administration Building was laid on 24 March 1899.  That building, designed by local architect, Edwin Summerhayes, had a striking formal limestone façade. The building was extensively remodelled in 1935 in the Art Deco style.  The design was executed by Edwin’s son, Reginald.
