Makerspace
Date: 26 September - 10 October 2020

The Claremont library Makerspace will be set up each week during the school holidays with a simple craft for you to enjoy.
Week 1 – (26 September - 3 October)  - Colouring in for everyone – large community  mural based on Children’s Book Week 2020 theme Curious Creatures + Wild Minds.
Week 2 –  (5 – 10 October) – Argh me hearties... come along and make a pirate hat as part of the Great Claremont Treasure Hunt.

Learn to tie your shoelaces

A how-to tie your shoelaces workshop for kids.
Join representatives from Athletes Foot and Ascent Footwear for this life lesson, hands-on workshop. Learn to tie your shoe laces and maybe even learn how to tie your shoes one handed or behind your back!

Finding your Happy Voice - Yoga & Mindfulness
Date: Friday 9 October 2020
Time: 10:30am - 11:30am
Ages 4-10 
Join local author Teniele Arnold for a fun, interactive workshop including animal yoga, yoga games and mindful breathing. Listen to a reading of her picture book Finding your Happy Voice. This book will help children to explore their emotions through the art of mindful meditation.

Beanstack App Launch

These school holidays come to the library and ask the friendly library staff how to download the Beanstack app and register for the Western Suburbs Reading Challenge. This challenge is based on the Children’s Book Week theme Curious Creatures & Wild Minds. Prizes to be won for completing reading logs and fun activities.
